The New Avengers: A crowd of screaming teenagers rescues a man Steed has hunted down, but then the Soviet spymaster Perov appears to kill himself. Just days later, a network of sleeper agents set up by Perov, called the House of Cards, is activated: people believed to be on Steed's side suddenly turn into assassins, killing British intelligence personnel.
