When Pat Morrison (Burt Reynolds) learns of a cache of gold hidden in the Philippines during World War II, he recruits the team of veterans who buried the treasure to lead him to the site. But the unreliable crew -- including a disenchanted alcoholic (Clarke Gordon) and a bitter seaman (Lyle Bettger) -- test Morrison's patience.
