Mark and Brittany meet with Christopher Garren to discuss their unusual wedding cake design. This couple vacationed in Paris and took a side trip to the Palace of Versailles. They not only fell in love with Versailles, but Mark produced a ring and proposed to Brittany in Louis XIV's opulent gardens. Now, Christopher must create a wedding cake for them that replicates elements from the Palace. This is no easy task, since Chris' vision involves lots and lots of pastillage elements, hand-painted frescos, and copious amounts of gold. Kate and Sam meet with Lauren from The White Flower Cake Shoppe, hoping that she can design the perfect wedding cake for their very specific tastes. They've always loved the art deco style and are having their wedding reception at the famous Silver Grille, a fully restored vintage art deco building in downtown Cleveland. Lauren suggests pulling specific design details from the Silver Grille as well as from their wedding invitations. Marianne doesn't fully realize the challenge ahead until they try to stencil the intricate art deco pattern evenly around the entire cake, and things don't go quite as planned.
